Biography

Yunquan Dong received his Ph.D. degree in Communication and Information Engineering from Tsinghua University in Jan. 2014, and his M.S. degree in Communication and Information System from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in Apr. 2008, both in Beijing, China. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from Qingdao University in July 2005, in Shandong, China.

From 2014 to 2015, he was on the faculty of the School of Communication and Electrical Engineering, Qingdao Technological University, Shandong, China. In Mar. 2015, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Seoul National University, Korea, as a BK assistant professor.

He received the Best Paper Award of IEEE ICCT in 2011. He received the National Scholarship for Postgraduates from China's Ministry of Education in 2012, as well as two first class scholarship from Tsinghua University in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Upon his graduation, he received the Outstanding Graduate Award of Beijing with honors in 2014. He also received the Young Star of Information Theory Award from China's Information Theory Society in 2014. .

His research interests are in wireless communication and information theory, heterogeneous cellular networks and energy harvesting based communication systems.
